Camera battery, charger and memory-card checklist
Get the exact battery charged, install a supported card and format it in the camera. Included parts and compatible parts are different questions.

A supported UHS-II bus does not mean every photograph needs a V90 card. Burst recommendations below retain the maker’s mode and conditions. Card capacity examples in a manual are not a maximum-capacity guarantee.

Before the first photograph
With the camera off, fit the charged battery and supported card as shown in its manual. Attach a native lens using the alignment marks. After powering on, set language, date and time. Copy any files you need from the card before using the format menu above, then make and play back a test photograph.
If a card is rejected, check the card’s write-protect switch and the supported family before treating speed as the problem. If charging does not start, check that the battery, cable and power source match the named charge path; a USB socket alone does not establish charging capability. Follow the exact maker’s charging-error instructions rather than repeatedly buying a faster card or charger.
A spare battery or charger adds carry weight. Enter the actual loose parts in the carry-weight calculator; the camera’s ready weight already includes its stated in-body battery and card.
