A full-frame EF lens frames the same way, 1.6 times tighter than its focal length: an EF 50 mm f/1.8 frames like 80 mm. Nothing is cropped beyond the sensor's own size.
EF-M lenses, from Canon's earlier M-series mirrorless cameras, do not fit RF cameras with any Canon adapter: their mount sits too close to the sensor. Lenses from Sigma, Tamron and others in the EF mount usually work through the adapter, but their makers decide which: check the lens maker's site.
The plain adapter adds about 110 g and 24 mm to every adapted lens. For a lens you use daily, an RF or RF-S lens of the same kind is often lighter in total; each camera's page lists them with weights.
