To use 105 mm-thread lenses with larger filters you already own, a step-up ring screws into the lens and takes the larger filter: 105–112 mm. 105–112 mm ring
Filters smaller than 105 mm (82 mm, 86 mm, 95 mm) need a step-down ring, which darkens the corners on most lenses; we do not suggest it. Smaller-thread lenses can use 105 mm filters through a step-up ring: 82 mm lenses, 86 mm lenses, 95 mm lenses.
